Bring your kid to our one day Juniors Coding Club, a fun-filled activity for children aged 7 to 17 years old happening during on Saturday, September 22, at Promenada Mall. Let them explore the wonders of programming and robotics with the mentors from some of the best dedicated schools in Bucharest and Romania.

Fill in the form to let us know which type of introductory class from which school you prefer. The number of vacancies is limited and after the each class is complete, the registered child will be enlisted on a waiting list. All requests will be forwarded to partnering schools which will do their best to accommodate each request during their usual classes.

Classes will be held by:

Academia inventeaza.ro

Academia inventeaza.ro comes with robots which will unleash the curiosity and creativity of children who are keen to explore the world of robots and their utility in everyday life.

They move their lab to Promenada Mall and bringing their key ingredients: experimentation, working and good will. And of course the robotic props: Wall-e, the most photogenic robot, the singing fruits, which promise to have a delightful concert, excellent to move along with alphabot or robots the kids learn to build and schedule them in their robotics courses.

This way, kids understand what robotics is all about and and how the first robots appeared, why do we have need to build our own robot, what we want it to do and how we can communicate with them.

Participation in the workshop is free of charge, upon registration!

SMALL ACADEMY

They are bringing two workshops:

  1. Robotics – use automation to make your life easier

What would you say if you found out that robots trainer, drones administrator or driverless cars supervisor are not just some names from The Jetsons? Let’s discover the future in robotics and automation through hands-on activities and educational games.

Kids will meet mBot – the most popular robot. They will get to work and actually learn how to code these “soulless beasties” using basic sensors and lines of codes. The attraction of the day is a football game, performed by robots.

The workshop is for 8-14 year old children. Participation in the workshop is free of charge, uponn registration!

  2. Discover the fascinating coding universe

Creative coding is so interactive and easy to understand – this is why we use it and children love it. In Make-Art platform, children take step-by-step challenges and level up slowly. They type code and visually creative tasks will be performed using programming. Together, we use programming methods to make art.

The workshop is for 8-14 year old children. Participation in the workshop is free of charge, upon registration!

ACADEMY+PLUS

Academy+Plus, coding school, tuition free, joins TechFest as partner. Courtesy of this partnership, 10 mentors aged 16 to 18 will coach kids aged 7 to 10 years old to code their first game.

For 2.5 hours, TechFest will host a demo gaming course. During this course, small kids will learn basics of computer coding, answer funny quizzes and build their own game in Scratch on the MIT platform.
